Located just off Hwy. 1 at the Larkin Valley/San Andreas exit, our five acre campus provides plenty of room for exploring, trying new activities, learning, growing, making new friends, and having fun!
Our Camp begins June 25th and runs through August 17th. The camp is eight weeks in length, however students ages 5 - 12 may attend by the week. Students can choose either full days (9 - 5) or half days (9 - 1).
Each week will have a separate theme and emphasis, such as:
Special activities and field trips to such places as Henry Cowell, Loch Lomond, Nissene Marks, and the Boardwalk are all geared around each of these weekly themes.
For those parents who would like their child to have all the activities, and also continue with reading, math, or other academics, classes are available during the morning. Our excellent teaching staff can help your student boost their skills or get ahead as they prepare for the fall.
Aptos Summer Music Camp
Do you have students who love to sing? Students who find the beat in everything? Students who cry if they can't attend musical performances?
WE WANT THEM TO ATTEND St. Andrews Music Camp !!!
St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Aptos is pleased to offer an exciting, low cost music camp to elementary students who show a love of music and are entering grades 1-6 in the fall. This non-denominational outreach is our gift to the community. Music Camp is designed to engage the musical imagination of students through singing, playing instruments, music games and learning about music fundamentals in a safe environment among peers with the same passion for music.
In addition, students will hear two professional noon-time recitals (open to the public) and participate in an end-of-session concert/celebration for parents and friends.

Concert July 22
Week-long Art Camps all summer long. Bug Week is back! Along with sewing, county fair art, carpentry, paper mache, creatures of the deep, paper dolls, lego fun and more! Check website for 2012 summer camp schedule.
2-3 Explorations with Anouk Johanna, monotpype printmaking, watercolor painting
Camps for the summer will include a cartooning experience with a rockstar local young artist (she is a brilliant cartoonist, and recently hired by Archie Comics) so this workshop is one that will appeal to girl-power artist types. We loved the portfolio of this young artist as she featured many girl super heros and the world could use a strong dose of art and femme fatale in equal dose.
Reboot and compute will also be a high light of the summer camp scene.
Our amazing outdoor studio space might be the finest piece of downtown creative space and certainly the place and space to be when the sun is shining.
Check back frequently. We add new classes as artists have availability!
Art duJour offers a variety of arts based classes, based upon a monthly theme that is tied into the Gallery. Our beautiful garden studio hosts super messy projects, and our computer lab and art classes change weekly.
Summer program
We organize intensive summer language camps. Each Camp is one week long, 3 hrs/day and parents can pick the morning or afternoon session. Each camp has have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 students.
Kids will different countries (virtually of course) where the language they chose is spoken. They will prepared their luggage, got their passports and boarding passes, and flew to the chosen countries. We use Google Earth to show them landmarks of the countries, and they learn a bit about the history and customs of these countries. They do different activities particular to the place they are visiting. All, of course, in the language they will be studying.
In another Camp children create a puppet show from scratch: they make puppets, create a basic script, design the set and rehearse the play, all in the language they are learning. The last day the play is be presented to parents.
Baymonte is excited to present THE AMAZING RACE as the theme for this summer's fun. Full and part time day campers will enjoy adventures in video production, geo-caching, podcasts, art, crafts, robotics, cooking and sports activities. In addition to these great activities campers will travel to exciting locations around Santa Cruz, such as Gilroy Gardens, local beaches, Roaring Camp Railroad, Bowling and Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Summer Quest is directed by experienced credentialed teachers and staffed with a 12 to 1 ratio.
For information contact Baymonte 831-438-0100 or office@baymonte.org.

Peaceful Valley Farm is a family homestead, nestled within a 300 acre national wildlife refuge, just outside of La Selva Beach. We are minutes from Manresa and Sunset Beaches and surrounded by fields of organically grown crops.
We combine hands on learning, and physical activity with art and literature to help kids develop a stronger sense of self and community as well as an awareness of their connection to their food and our Mother Earth.
We use the farm to teach an appreciation for the work involved in growing and raising the food, the soil in which it is grown, and the animals that provide food.
Some of our offerings:
BIRTHDAY PARTIES
We are excited to offer an outdoor venue for birthday parties or other small gatherings. We provide tables with cloths, seats, and a small lawn area. The story I am about to share with you takes place in 1931, under the roofs of Paris. Here you will meet a boy named Hugo Cabret, who once, long ago, discovered a mysterious drawing that changed his life forever.
The Invention of Hugo Cabret is full of magic for the child reader, for the adult reader, the film lover, the art lover, for anyone willing to give it a go. Open your mind, pour Selznick's creation in, and be reminded of the dream of childhood.

Murals are more than just giant paintings. Think of them as an interactive process that blends collaborative grouping, history, current events, local communities, social change, and leadership skills. While participating as a class, students explore how to work in groups and learn the importance of collaboration when completing a project from beginning to end. Students are also given the opportunity to partake in not only creating art for their school, but also feeling accomplished and proud once the mural has been completed. Students will select a theme on Monday and by Friday we will be ready to unveil our masterpiece.
What can we say about The Goblet of Fire? 83 characters, 6 outdoor stages, 4 dragons, 2 giant puppets and 1 heck of a magical time. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, offers up equal parts danger and delight. Voldemort returns, students are in danger and once again, it is up to Harry Potter and his friends Hermione and Ron to save the day. Please note this class is a little longer that previous Harry Potter classes as we translate 1000 pages of text into an unforgettable acting experience. One thing that hasn't changed IS the Hogwarts classes where actors learn to put their magic to good use in Herbology, Defense Against the Dark Arts and Arithmancy class.

This is the story of Max, who one evening plays around his home making âmischiefâ in a wolf costume. As punishment, his mother sends him to bed without supper. In his room, a mysterious, wild forest and sea grows out of his imagination, and Max sails to the land of the Wild Things. The Wild Things are fearsome-looking monsters, but Max proves to be the fiercest, conquering them by âstaring into all their yellow eyes without blinking onceâ, and he is made âthe king of all wild thingsâ, dancing with the monsters in a âwild rumpusâ. However, he soon finds himself lonely and homesick and returns home to his bedroom where he finds his supper waiting for him still hot.

Live Music by Triceratops featuring Hunter Wallraff
From the Director of Pepperland Odyssey and Comedy of Errors (meets The Monkees), Beyond Xanadu is the latest of the madcap mash-ups WEST will set loose on an unsuspecting public. This production is loosely based on the original Samuel Taylor Coleridge poem, Kubla Kahn; the 1947 film, Down To Earth; the 1980 film, Xanadu (that was the inspiration for the Razzie Award); and the Broadway smash sensation of the same name.
The story of Xanadu follows the journey of a beautiful Greek muse, Kira, who descends from Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach, California in 1980 to inspire struggling artist Sonny to achieve his dream - a Roller Disco! However, when Kira falls into forbidden love with Sonny, chaos abounds. Live music, roller skating, disco, muses, mythology, and live music performed by Triceratops can life get any better?
