Come touch a friendly shark, see how marine scientists work, and take in the spectacular Monterey Bay. Our exhibit hall offers a deeper dive into the adventure of ocean research here in Santa Cruz and around the world. Visit us and explore the fascinating world of marine science and conservation. The Seymour Marine Discovery Center is a self-supporting part of the University of California, Santa Cruz. At the Seymour Marine Discovery Center, you can visit exhibit halls, aquarium, and touch pools as part of a working marine laboratory. Take tours to the marine mammal research overlook, visit the Ocean Discovery Shop, and delight in unsurpassed vistas of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary.

Scotts Valley's Annual Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration

Parade, music, entertainment, food and fireworks!
Date: 07/04/2012 from 3:00pm to 9:30pm
Admission Fees: $6.00 advance tickets, $8 at the gate.

Scotts Valley invites everyone to celebrate the Fourth of July with activities including a fireworks display, game booths, a children's area and food.

 

The parade begins just south of Civic Center Drive and will travel along Scotts Valley Drive to El Pueblo Road. Applications to participate will be accepted through July 4 and can be downloaded at www.scottsvalley.org or by calling 440-5610.

 

A festival will be held at Skypark starting at 3 p.m., with food, climbing walls and games, culminating with a fireworks display starting around 9:15 p.m.
