Inviting all Santa Cruz County Parents! (Especially ones with challenging kids!)

Parenting evokes a full spectrum of emotions with higher intensity than many other experiences. Knowing how to deal with the intensity of these emotions both personally and with your kids can be difficult and challenging to navigate. Wouldn't it be satisfying to connect rather than ignore, react, or pretend how to be with your kids. Becoming a CEO of your reactions provides you tools to authentically deepen and live in relationships filled with connection, love and understanding.

Summer time was always both the best and the worst parenting times for me. As Rachel shared, both wonderful to have so much unstructured time, play time, family time. AND so hard to have so much unstructured time when we can trigger each other. When my girls fight it is the most triggering thing ever! Plus I don't get my normal self care break times so was often less patient. AND my expectations were often higher that we "should" be having the best time.

Join us! We all need support to be real as we experience the hardest and most rewarding job on earth. You will learn or hear something new that will directly impact your parenting and your life. You will build community and get that all important sense that you are not alone in this journey. You will get a chance to share and practice working with your upset/triggers (never a shortage of material!)

Email to register.

Allison is a mother of two teenage daughters. She is a conflict resolution mediator, a workshop leader and works at 1440 Multiversity. She started this work in 2005 when she was seeking a better way to relate to her oldest, spirited child, who was then four.
