5:30 Doors open 6:00 Potluck Dinner 7:15 Slide show with Jon Young on Getting Nature Connected and his recent trip Africa, where Jon spent time with several Bushman communities. 8:30 Barn Dance !! Where: 1900 17th Avenue in Santa Cruz, sliding scale $5 to $20. Also, bring your own cutlery, plates, and cups to cut down on garbage.
My life's work is connecting people deeply to nature. In over 25 years of mentoring people, I've seen that deep nature connection changes us. It rewires us and enables us to make much more of our human potential.
I collaborate with organizations and individuals around the world who are seeking to foster deeper community and nature connections through the power of cultural and coyote mentoring principles.
My keynote talks and trainings are based on a lifetime of personal experience combined with the input and guidance of cultural specialists from around the world.

Ultra Beginner Line Dance Boulder CreekAmber BlavinLine dancing for everyone 8-90
Date: Every Mon and Th (Jan 18-May 27) at 6:00pm

Special Instructions: bring water, behind Hwy 9 Fire station
Ultimate beginner line dance classes start with the simplest coordination dance moves, and then slowly progresses to more advanced coordination dance moves. The class format program uses Val Meyers indicative absolute beginner's program. Each classes has at least 20-30 minutes of dancing and a dance lesson. Dance technique help footnotes are added in the lessons where needed. Class environment is relaxed, low key, and intended for play, fun, and exercise. Come get some exercise while having great fun! No partner needed to dance in line dance.

6pm Ultra Beginner level (for those creating a coordination level)

Hello! We are trying to learn more about what moms and kids think about how kids can learn through talking with adult family members. We are looking for moms and their 8-10 year old children to be part of a learning study with the UCSC psychology department and listen to 3 stories together and tell us your opinions about if and what children can learn in the stories. Both moms and children have enjoyed listening to the stories and telling us what they thing about them, as well as taking part in a scientific study with the university!
We would love to hear from you and find a time to meet up and hear your opinions!

All aboard for Thomas and Friends! Thomas the Tank Engine(TM) rolls into Roaring Camp Railroads in Felton, Santa Cruz County, on July 30, 31 and August 1, 6, 7, 8.
This fun-filled family event offers aspiring engineers and their families the opportunity to ride with Thomas the Tank Engine(TM), meet Sir Topham Hatt(TM), and take part in a variety of interactive activities. Themed entertainment includes Thomas and Friends(TM) storytelling, puppet shows, bounce houses, train exhibits, an Imagination Station(TM) with face painting, temporary tattoos, and more.
The 25-minute Thomas The Tank Engine(TM) train excursion travels along the scenic San Lorenzo Valley River Gorge and Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. Trains depart from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
