All Nature Explorers camps connect kids to their environment in fun and exciting ways that engage their natural sense of curiosity while supporting academic success. 

 

 

 

Entering GRADES K - 1

Art and Science of Nature | July 23-27 
Campers will explore natural wonders at the intersection of art and science, through walking field trips, outdoor investigations, and hands-on art projects.

 

Can You Dig It? | July 30-August 3
Campers will become junior paleontologists, geologists, and biologists as they spend the week digging into the world of fossils, bones, rocks, and dirt.

Entering GRADES 2-3

Art and Science of Nature | July 9-13

Campers will explore natural wonders at the intersection of art and science, through walking field trips, outdoor investigations, and hands-on art projects.

Entering GRADES 4-5

Biomimicry Camp | July 16-20

Campers will spend the week exploring and drawing inspiration from nature to solve design challenges, engineering their own solutions to help humans live more sustainably on earth. This camp will feature field trips to different habitats nearby in Santa Cruz.

The beautiful facilities include large parks with playgrounds, BBQ areas and athletic fields, smaller neighborhood parks, a 49 acre open space area with a hiking trail, community center, senior center, skate parks, dog park and tennis courts.

 

The Parks and Recreation Division also provides high quality recreation programming that includes children and adult activities ranging from sports and crafts, to music and aquatics.
