Fathers Are Forever
Co-parenting is an ideal way to keep dads involved as parents, kids, moms, dads win - as does the communities they live in. Families who practice shared parenting hold the key to avoiding most of the damage that divorce can do to children and many co-parents avoid the financial hardship most single parents endure.
Fathers Are Forever has empowered thousands of men to build co-parenting relationships, allowed many mothers to live fuller lives, and fulfilled their children's longing for both a mother and a father.
Fathers Are Forever, A Co-Parenting Guide for the 21st Century, explains concisely, and in a practical way, how divorced fathers can create shared parenting in turn end fatherlessness both at home and across the USA. A must read for all who believe fathers matter.
In the Santa Cruz County Correctional System (medium and minimum security facilities) Fathers Are Forever Shared Parenting Courses are taught by Steven Ashley and members of the Divorced Fathers Network of Santa Cruz, California.
For information contact Divorced Fathers Network at divorcedfathers.com or Steven Ashley at stevea18@aol.com.
Steven Ashley trains members of the Divorced Fathers Network of Santa Cruz, social workers, and volunteers in various cities how to present co-parenting techniques to men and women incarcerated in jails. During their stay in jail parents can learn co-parenting and conflict resolution skills. When released these parents can create change at home in within their communities. Subjects taught:
Knowing when one's relationship is over and that it is now time to focus on creating a co-parenting relationship.
How to communicate with the ex-spouse during and after divorce.
Discussion of gender bias in communities and family law.
Contrast of mediation Vs litigation.
How to maintain one's co-parenting relationship.
After this six week course parents are prepared to work with their ex-spouse and better fulfill their children's needs and interests.
Steven Ashley presents co-parenting workshops in communities, for government agencies, and at father focused conferences all across the USA. To schedule a co-parenting workshop for your communities, counelors, family law professionals, or social clubs contact us.
Positive Discipline Community Resources (PDCR)
creates healthy relationships that transform our children, ourselves and the world. We promote a model of connection and interaction between children and adults that teaches respect and dignity; fosters a sense of belonging and significance; and brings more joy and compassion to families.
When children and all family members have a feeling of belonging and significance, they are more likely to contribute to the well being of the whole group:
• family
• classroom
• school
• community
PDCR helps parents, teachers, caregivers, administrators, supervisors and managers in homes, schools, offices and businesses to create safe and positive learning and work environments. Using research-based methods, PDCR teaches social and emotional awareness skills that promote initiative, responsibility, resilience and capability.
